Virtual Reunion of Past Students of Wesley Hall School, St. George’s, Grenada
January 31, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Calling ALL past Wesley Hall Students. Join us for a Virtual Reunion as we reflect on school days, and the foundation that made us who we are today as adults.
If you attended Wesley Hall School on Lucas Street or at Queen’s Park, I’m sure you have great memories. Those who attended at Lucas Street would remember the date palm at the bottom, and the ladies selling niggerboys, damsel stew, tamarind balls and other confectionaries. You might remember running down Market Hill for lunch and returning late or bringing your carria to school with food for you and siblings. Some might remember the concerts, the music and singing, the literature, history and poetry classes. I loved story time in the afternoon. It made me love reading and writing.
… and which students in Grenada were blessed to learn in such a fun sporty environment as Queen’s Park? Some of us had the best of both worlds, as we got a bit of Lucas Street and moved over to Queen’s Park in 1970. We had the wonderful privilege of being surrounded by Cricket and football fields, the athletic track and netball and volley ball courts, and the open expanse of grass on the plains of the St. John’s River. So much is happening in the world today to make us concerned and angry. Let’s relax for a couple hours, and revive the memories of our school days.
