
‘The Art of Fine Dining’© an online dining etiquette seminar with international courtesies

Protocol Caribbean announces another upcoming dining etiquette seminar: The Art of Fine Dining © – dining etiquette with International Courtesies. This seminar will be held via Zoom, and is scheduled for Thursday 3rd July, 2025 from 6:30 p.m – 8:30 p.m.
Alice Thomas-Roberts, former Chief of Protocol and former Senior Foreign Service Officer will host this seminar based on Western dining etiquette with references to dining dos and don’ts in other cultures. As Presenter, she will speak and demonstrate acceptable etiquette from the moment of arrival at a restaurant or someone’s home, to the time of departure.
This seminar will help those who want to understand the dos and don’ts of formal dining, including dining in different cultures; as well as those who dine out formally, attend or host business meals, or travel for meetings and conferences abroad.
After this seminar, attendees will feel more comfortable and confident on any formal dining occasion while observing acceptable etiquette, whether at home or abroad.
Seminar subtopics will include: What’s expected before you begin to eat, What to do with your personal items, Understanding your place setting, Holding & using eating & drinking utensils, (including chopsticks), Using your napkin, Serving yourself versus serving others, Eating bread & spooning soup, Passing condiments & other items, Appropriate Conversations, Toasting, Dining dos and don’ts in other cultures, and other relevant topics.
