Announcing another dining etiquette seminar: The Art of Fine Dining – A Dining Etiquette Seminar with International Courtesies ©. This seminar is scheduled for Saturday 30th November, 2024 from 10:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m. Venue to be finalized.
Alice Thomas-Roberts, former Chief of Protocol and Senior Foreign Service Officer will host this tutored meal providing guidance on acceptable Western dining etiquette, with references to dining dos and don’ts in other cultures. She will speak on acceptable etiquette from the moment of arrival at a restaurant or someone’s home, to the time of departure.
The seminar is for those who dine out formally, attend or host business meals, travel for meetings and conferences abroad, want to hone their dining skills for their upcoming Christmas party or want to know the dos and don’ts of formal dining, including dining in different cultures.
This seminar, which is always a fun learning experience for attendees will prepare diners to feel comfortable and confident at their next special dining event while enjoying good company and observing acceptable etiquette.
Seminar subtopics include: Before you begin to eat, Your personal items, Understanding your place setting, Holding & using eating & drinking utensils, Using your napkin, Serving yourself, Eating bread & spooning soup, Passing condiments & other items, Toasting and conversations with other diners, The best time for discussing business, Dining dos and don’ts in other cultures.
